Our Public Sector client based in Birmingham City Centre is currently looking for a Business Support Administrator to support their Commercial department. This will be Monday to Friday, usually 9.00am to 5.00pm however the successful candidate must have a degree of flexibility in line with the needs of the business. This will be an ongoing temporary assignment, paying £10.80 per hour going up to £12.37 in the 13th working week. This role is mainly home working but will have a requirement to attend on site two days a week eventually.
Your role will be to provide support to the team by managing their central inbox which receives queries from both internal and external stakeholders. You will need to respond to these queries effectively and efficiently, by triaging and responding or passing them to the relevant department to deal with were necessary.
Part of your role will be to review all work orders coming through, ensuring all relevant details and approvals are in place. You will then be required to update an internal database tracker to ensure that this can be accessed with real time information for any stakeholder queries.
You will also be required to approve low value requisitions, through their Purchase to Pay system. This will require attention to detail so that all information is included to allow approval and release of purchase orders.
You should have previous administration experience and excellent communication skills and knowledge of MS applications, in particular Excel. The role will involve some analysis and manipulation of data.
