Buyer needed in the Watford area - Possible Temp to Perm opportunity - immediate start

We are looking to recruit a Buyer for a fast-paced manufacturing and distribution company based in Watford to lead the business forward in securing quality suppliers of materials and ensuring all raw materials are purchased as required for production demands.

Duties and responsibilities:

" Effectively control a direct spend budget for commodities including Machining, Casting, Injection moulding,
Electrical, Raw Materials.

" Ensure suppliers deliver on time as well as quality performance in line with demand

" Monitor usage trends and know estimated future sales to minimise stock holding.

" Assist in resolving goods inwards discrepancies

" Liaise with production staff and other internal parties

" Identify new suppliers, agree terms and negotiate supply agreements and contracts

" Actively participate in the continual improvement of purchasing methods and drive down external spends

" Present updates on new product introduction tasks

" Monitor new trends and regulations in the business and market place

" Proactively assist with company requirements for stock checks

" General administration and filing
