CAD Designer - SolidWorks / Sheet Metal

Location: Nuneaton, CV11
Salary: £28,500 per annum
Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday

Brook Street is delighted to be partnering with a well-established utilities company based in Nuneaton, who are looking for a skilled CAD Designer to join their growing design and engineering team.

The Role

As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing 3D product designs and models that generate DXF files for laser cutting. You will work closely with manufacturing teams and customers to ensure designs meet quality standards and timelines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Creating accurate 3D product models in SolidWorks.
• Producing DXF files for use with laser cutters.
• Collaborating with manufacturing teams on product specifications.
• Working with sheet metal components and assemblies.
• Supporting digital printing projects where required.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who can bring both technical expertise and strong communication skills to the role.

Essential:

• Degree in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 3 years' experience using SolidWorks.
• Proven experience working with sheet metal.
• Excellent Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

• Digital printing experience.
• Knowledge of Radan programming or DriveWorks.
