If you have a proven track record in call handling and would like to work for the public sector, we have an excellent opportunity for you to work on a project which will last through till the end of January.

Our client is a large government department based in Darlington and is looking to take on a new admin / call handler team.

The role will involve
Working in a call centre type environment, the care home liaison officers (CHLO) will be required to call specified care homes (from a call sheet) and support the care home manager in registering for an on-line capacity tracker system, including ensuring the manager is able to log in, set up their care home details in the system and update the status of their care home in the system.

The capacity tracker the CHLO will be helping the home to set up will assist with discharging patients from hospital more quickly by enabling hospitals and social care teams to identify more quickly which care homes have available beds to receive discharged patients.

The care home managers will already be aware of the capacity tracker system, and have been strongly encouraged to take the call and go through the set up process. The product is also free to the care home, and so no sales will be required.

Some care home managers may be difficult to get in touch with, and so multiple calls may be required to obtain a successful call. Some care home managers may also have limited IT skills, and so need significant support in following the instructions to sign up to the system.

Excellent customer service skills with a good telephone manner are essential.

This role will be to start immediately.
