Candidate Engagement Officer
Brook Street
Glasgow city centre
9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
37.5 hours per week
£10ph
Temporary Role

At Brook Street we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our expanding tactical surge team to support our candidates throughout their on-boarding journey. As the candidate engagement officer you will report into the Team leader and support with the on-boarding of new employees. You will be required to have the ability to multi-task, whilst being able to use your judgement to determine the situation and offer resolutions to employees.


Duties within this role include:

  • Call all candidates in process before start date to check all onboarding emails received / Brook street online info to be able to process timesheets etc
  • Contact on 1st day to check arrive
  • Providing accurate, timely information, assistance and advice to staff and Team Leader on candidates and the onboarding of fixed term
  • Supporting colleagues within the recruitment & selection activities by undertaking aspects of the process as required, in line with current employment law ensuring following compliance
  • Arranging calls with employees on a week 1 and the regularly, supporting with queries throughout the onboarding process
  • Administering the new start induction process alongside the team, working with team to ensure employees receive an accurate and consistent induction to the organisation
  • Working positively and regularly updating Team Leader and management on reporting
  • Accurately maintaining computer system records ensuring all relevant updates are live and dealt within timescales
  • Providing effective and timely customer care employees when offered a fixed term role with our client
  • Engaging with all new starts weekly and ensuring you answer any relevant queries


What we need from you:

  • IT literacy with ability to quickly learn how to use different IT platforms/packages
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build candidate relations
