Job Description

The Ministry of Justice - Case Administrator
Location: Wakefield (National Probation Service) NPS - First will be office work then after training will be office and remote working
Salary: £9.06 PH
Hours: Monday - Friday (37 hours)

Hours of work are 9:00am - 5:00pm There is some flexibility by prior arrangement with line manager.

About the employer:
The NPS makes sure individuals serve the sentences and orders handed out by courts, both in prisons and the community. they are accountable for how prisons are run in England and Wales.
NPS delivers probation services to high risk offender and works in partnership with Community Rehabilitation Companies set up to deliver probation services to low and medium risk offenders.

Key Responsibilities:
Updating completed unpaid work hours or failures to attend for people on probation attending groups or individual placements across five probation regions.Support office duty tasks including reception as required. Printing of official sensitive documentation to support the unpaid work process and other PSC processes. Administrators will become multi-skilled to support all PSC activity as required across all of the PSC service delivery teams.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Good telephone manner
  • Excellent use of Microsoft package including word and excel
  • Good data processing skills

So the ideal candidate will have strong admin and IT skills and who can work in a fast paced environment.
