Case Officer (Regulatory Transactions - 12m FTC)

Job Description

We are currently working with a Pension Regulations Body based in Brighton, seeking several Regulatory Transactions Case Officers to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Reporting to the Lead Associate, you will be responsible for leading a wide portfolio of regulatory interventions, using legislative powers to mitigate tasks to the organisation's statutory objectives and ensure good outcomes for members. You will be working as part of the front line development directorate which is responsible for effectively delivering high volume regulation across a variety of basic compliance requirements and requests.

Key responsibilities:
- Lead the progression of regulatory interventions relating to breaches of law or applications for the organisation to use powers, from allocation to resolution
- Follow process guidelines in line with legislative framework, working independently and as part of a team to obtain the information necessary to make decisions
- Identify risks based on information received and escalate to the appropriate business area or gain and review legal advice before concluding
- Communicate with stakeholders verbally and in writing, to influence behaviours in order to ensure compliance
- Use own judgement to deal with external stakeholder enquiries and resolve or route appropriately

To be considered for this Regulatory Transactions Case Officer job, you will need:
- Expertise of working within a legislative framework or within clear processes and procedures
- Proven ability to prioritise and coordinate your own workload to meet timescales, KPIs, internal SLAs and quality assurance criteria
- Analytical skills and the ability to decide when interventions require use of powers to resolve
- Accuracy to complete legal documentation
- Attention to detail to identify risks based on information received and escalate when required
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Confident user of MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
