Case Worker - Child and Adult Mental Health

Newport

£10 ph + Holiday pay and pension contribution

We are currently recruiting for a full time case worker for a national charity. This role is a fixed term contract for a few months.

Your role will be to work with children and families with mental health needs. You will be required to provide holistic support for families around routines and boundaries, diagnosis, behaviour management, parenting and transition by building on families' strengths and working with achievable goals. You will be expected to manage your own case load.

You will be expected to; work in partnership with other professionals to ensure the health and wellbeing of children and adults, safeguarding those you work with, supporting and encouraging families in the decision making on topics that affect them.

Due to the nature of this role previous experience in working with vulnerable families and children is essential. Completion of a parenting programme is desirable.

Experience in delivering group programmes, providing direct support to clients, experience of undertaking risk assessments and risk management are also essential for the role.
