Brook Street are looking for a Cash and Banking Clerk to join a busy Credit and Billing department located in Bristol. To be considered for this position it is desired that you have experience in a similar role, dealing with sorting incoming cheques and preparing cheques for daily banking.

As a Cash and Banking Clerk your responsibilities will be to ensure that cash received is banked and allocated to the system in a prompt and accurate manner. It is also desirable that you have good communication skills as you will be dealing with clients and customers. A few of your responsibilities are as below:

-Set up new direct debits, make any amendments to direct debits, request payment from the bank and deal with any direct debit queries
-Monitor BACs reports to ensure that all failed direct debits and payments are posted to the system promptly
-Import bacs payments from the banking system, run auto allocation of payments and then complete manual allocations
-Allocation reversals
-Account reconciliations
