Job Description

I am recruiting for a Category C Licence Driver (Class 2) working out of the Birmingham hub; working for one of the fastest growing and biggest travel retailers in the UK they are offering a salary of £20000 rising to £22000.

THE ROLE

In this role you will be driving to deliver goods to various airport locations across the UK. At the delivery points you will also be assisting with the off-loading and loading of the goods. You will be adhering to all compliance with driving and health and safety in order to maintain a safe working environment. As well as driving you will be assisting in the warehouse from time to time when needed and helping with a number of different duties.

TYPICAL DAILY JOB DUTIES - WHAT WILL YOU BE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

- Delivering goods to various Airport locations

- Assisting with the off-loading and loading of vehicles at the Delivery point

- Ensuring compliance with Driving rules and regulations

- Ensuring compliance with Health and Safety

- Shunting vehicles on and off Loading Bays

- Assisting in the Warehouse when required with a number of duties

PERSON SPECIFICATION

- Minimum requirement is a Category C (Class 2) Licence

- Valid Driver Qualification Card

- Valid Digital Tachograph Card

- At least 2 years of experience in driving at a Category C Level

- A clean Driving Licence is desirable but must have less than 6 points

- Previous experience working in a Warehouse/Despatching environment

- Good communication & team working skills

- Ability to work quickly & efficiently under pressure

- Good attention to detail

- Willingness to learn and be flexible

- Physically fit

HOURS

Full Time - Average Weekly 38.5 hrs

Shift Pattern - 4 on 4 off Rotating Shift Pattern

Working Hours -12 hour shifts between the hours of 06.00 to 21.00
