Job Description

Charity Officer

We are supporting a brilliant local charity in recruiting a new Charity Officer. The lucky candidate will be directly responsible for day-to-day operations of the charity as well as inspiring & engaging the already brilliant, established team. Developing long-term relationships and maximising fundraising opportunities will be high on the agenda and will form an integral part of this role. This organisation works within the community to provide individuals, groups, and corporate supporters an exceptional onsite experience.

What will I be doing?

" Making an impact every day
" Working with the staff to run the day to day operations and support the clients
" Supporting the development of a prospect pipelines of opportunities and identifying and cultivating leads
" Managing relationships with partners, funding bodies and service users
" Meeting regularly and updating the trustees
" Presenting information about the services the charity offers
" Representing the charity at meetings, events and in the media
" Planning policies and raising income
" Writing funding bids and negotiating contracts
" Keep up to date and follow all Health & Safety policies.

You`ll be able to bring to the role
" Ability to understand the business vision and purpose and using this to motivate and inspire others
" Excellent networking and relationship manager skills
" Experience of working as a team and working unsupervised
" A strong solutions focused approach to help clients overcome any challenges
" Great time management, prioritisation and planning skills.
" Excellent communication and presentation skills (face to face, written and phone) to engage the confidence of clients and supporters and build long lasting relationships.

Please note
" Due to business requirements, there may be occasions where some travel and staying overnight will be required.
" The candidate will be required to pass a vulnerable adults and children Disclourse.
" The successful candidate will also be required to drive a large 4 by 4 and a trailer. If you do not have the required license this can be done after starting the role.
