Job Description

We are recruiting for Waking Night Child Care Workers for provide care and support to children and young people in our client`s secure unit based in St Helens.

The secure unit provides care and education to young people from the age of 10 to 17 in a 2X6 bedded facility with onsite teachers and classroom. The unit accommodates children who have placed themselves or others at significant risk.

In this role you will be assisting in devising and implementing individual car programmes and undertake a key working role in the young people`s lives. This will require an awareness of the young people`s needs including physical, emotional, intellectual, social and cultural.

You will be supporting the young people to accomplish their daily routines and goals and develop positive relationships with the, interacting in a way that promotes self-esteem and confidence.

The hours for this role are 22:00pm till 07:00am and shifts are allocated on a rota basis so having flexibility is key for this role. The pay for this this role is £20215-£22127 per year. If you have your NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People. There is also a yearly £1000 secure unit allowance plus weekend enhancements.
