**Residential Support Worker - Children and Young People**
**Temporary, ongoing work. Flexible shifts**
*£9.00 - £10.00ph + Benefits**
**Challenging behaviour, EBD**
**Level 3 working with Children and Young People or equivalent is highly desirable**

Working for one of the UK leading education and behaviour health services. Working with complex care requirements and challenging behaviour.

You`ll be supporting young people with emotional behaviour disorders. Providing a well-ordered, positive and supportive environment where each student has the opportunity to flourish and succeed whatever their ability. You will also be promoting high expectations of everyone`s work, conduct and appearance within the team. You will be encouraging the young people to participate in a caring and supportive community, founded on mutual respect. You`ll be sustaining an ethos which enables students to develop into mature independent citizens, equipped to make a positive contribution. You will also be responsible for establishing a safe environment in which to develop positive behaviour and raising self-esteem.

You will need to have professional experience working with children, ideally with positive behaviour management training, or some form of restraint training. Team Teach training is highly desirable.

It would also be extremely beneficial for you to have a Level 3 working with Children and Young people, or an equivalent.

You will need to have a minimum of 12 months experience working in care, including experience working with children. You will also need a current DBS registered to the online update service. If you don`t have this I can help you apply for one.
