Job Description

A well established and reputable organisation is looking for a Support Worker for their residential children home in Thornbury, Bristol. You will be working with children between the age of 6 - 19 year olds who have special educational needs (SEN), Autism, OCD, epilepsy and will display challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- Supporting children through their morning, mealtime and evening routines
- Acting as a professional parent and role model
- Domestic tasks such as cleaning, laundry, shopping and collecting medication
- Liaising & report writing for families and professionals (e.g. Social Workers)
- The company believes in Positive Behaviour Management (PBM) and therapeutic approach like team teach 2 and MAPPA
- Full personal care required from bathing, grooming and getting dressed etc

Qualifying candidates:
- Must have previous experience with challenging behaviour and learning disabilities / SEN

Contract / terms:
- Salary is £17,304.30 to £18,304 per annum
- Full time (42.5 hours a week) Mondays to Friday plus alternative weekends
- Shifts patterns can vary between 7:30am - 8:30pm and no nights
- You will work 44 week out of 52 weeks per years
