BS Social Care are recruiting for Children, Young People and Families in the West Yorkshire Area. We have positions in Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Huddersfield and Halifax for a number of our local clients.
As a Support Worker, your role will be rewarding and never the same. You will provide one to one support to vulnerable Children, Young People and Families, completing reports on progress and potential safeguarding issues. You may be asked to take Children out for the day, working in the community and also in a residential setting or leaving care (independent housing for 16-21 year old's). We work with clients who deal with a wide age range from New-borns to 21 years of age and the families involved.
The shifts will vary from Long Days to Waking Nights and Weekends, so you must be flexible and willing to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week. This is to minimise number of Support Workers working with individuals, as familiarity is often preferred in these sensitive roles.
The ideal candidate will have a DBS on the update service or alternatively be willing to pay £50 for a DBS directly through Brook Street Disclosures, be able to provide 5 years references and provide eligibility to work in the UK - eg driving license, passport and proof of NI. It is essential you have a minimum of a minimum of 1 years experience working with Children, Young People and Families in a residential setting and a Full UK Driving License with access to your own vehicle. Experience with De-Escalation and One to One support is also ideal.

The hourly rate will be a generous £9.00 - £16.50 per hour with holiday pay to accrue and various positions are available.
