** Childrens After School and School Holiday Worker **
** Witney, Oxfordshire **
** Permanent **
* To work Monday - Friday; 2.30pm - 6.30pm and school holiday Monday - Friday; 8.30am - 3.30pm *
** To have all bank holidays off including the first and last week of summer holidays **
** £18,278 - £19,850 (pro rata) **
** Some flexibility with shift patterns will be given where able to do so **

BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a countrywide children`s charity with a large after school and holiday activities to children with disabilities in Abingdon and Witney in Oxfordshire.

This service gives children and young people an opportunity to have fun, share experiences and socialize outside their home life and offers parents, carers, and other members of the family time off. The aim is to provide a safe and fun environment to support each child to build their confidence, skills, and independence through inclusive play, activities, and holiday schemes.

About the employer; countrywide childrens charity.

About the job; this is a role that works with children and young people aged 5yrs - 18yrs with special needs after school and during the school holidays. You will be part of all aspect of the CYP care including personal care, having fun, carrying out activities, setting up and cleaning down, domestic duties, day to day tasks and more.

About the ideal candidate; ideally you will hold experience with children and young people with special needs via a paid role, volunteering or personal. You will also be able (or willing to learn) to communicate effectively with CYP with special needs. This is a permanent role so ideally we would like candidates to apply that see this line of work a long term role to either staying as a Childrens After School/Holiday Worker or looking to progress which are able to support fully with to a full time Service Manager and more. It is ideal that you hold some form of care qualification such as but not limited to; Health and Social Care, Childcare, Children and Young People, Play Worker ect.

You will have the passion to provide children and young people with a safe and fun place to be, be comfortable helping children and young people with their toileting and personal care and be creative and enjoy planning and running play, arts and crafts and other activities for children.

Salary and more; this role is a permanent part time role working Monday - Friday; 2.30pm - 6.30pm during term time and Monday - Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm during school holidays. If you would like to do this role but need full time hours, we could consider you for other services in the company to top up your hours. The salary offered is £18,278 - £19,850 (pro rata) alongside masses of benefits such as; bank holidays off, annual leave, full induction, training, qualifications, progression, strong supervision scheme, formal appraisals, monthly team meetings and more.
