A well established & expanding organisation are recruiting for a candidate who can become a Childrens Home Registered Manager for their new 2 bed Children home in Torquay, Devon. You will be supporting children & young people (6 - 18 years olds) who come from neglected backgrounds, mental health, learning disabilities, EBD and complex needs who may display challenging behaviour.

Main Job Role:
- Help with registering and opening of the new service
- Day to day management of the services according to Ofsted and Children`s Home Regulations
- Knowledge of Ofsted Inspection and implanting recommendations after an inspection
- In charge of risk assessment, support plans, Ofsted compliance and health and safety
- Developing new and transferring service users
- Oversee new staff recruitment and training

Qualifying candidates:
- Must have 2 consecutive years in a row working in a Childrens home in the last 5 years
- Held job titles as a senior, Deputy or manager in a Childrens home
- Experience with Ofsted inspections and undertake the Ofsted registration process
- Have a Diploma / NVQ / QCF level 3 or above in:
* Children & Young People`s Workforce
* Health & Social Care in Children
* Health & Social Care in Social Care Pathway
* Caring for children & young people
* Residential childcare

Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £28,000 - £34,000 per annum
- Monday to Fridays with on call duties
