Job Description

** Children's Residential Home Support Worker **
** Working with children and young people aged 5yrs - 18yrs within a 6 bedded residential childrens home for respite care **
** Headington, Oxfordshire **
** Permanent and part time or full time *
** £19,768 - £30,046 **
** Early; 7am - 3pm, late; 2pm - 9.30pm, long day; 7am - 7pm or 8am - 8pm **
** To work 2 out of 4 weekends **

BS Social Care are currently recruiting for candidates who either hold a Level 3 in Children and Young People and CYP experience, or candidates who do not hold this but want to. We are also opening this role to non drivers. About the employer; large countrywide childrens charity.

About the job; this role is to ensure that every single child within your care receives the best possible care at all times. You will be responsible for following care plans and providing the child with activities that adhere to what they individually need. But the main part is to make sure each child is having fun, smiling and enjoying their stay at the home. You will also be accountable for certain children within the home as you will hold a certain amount of childs cases. This will involved being the main point of contact for your care loads, you will lead in reviews and family meetings, update their personal folders and report back to families.

Your role will also include 1:1 care, personal care, preparing and assisting with breakfast, lunch and dinner, medication, day to day jobs around the home and being part of child in need reviews.

About the ideal candidate; for this role it would be beneficial to hold a relevant qualification such as a Level 3 in Children and Young People and also hold CYP experience alongside a driving licence. However, if you do not have all or any of the above, all we ask if that you hold the right personal attributes such as hard working, dedication to childrens development and ensure you prioritise safeguarding for all children at all times. A driving licence is not needed due to there being bus routes near the home at times that sync nicely with the shift patterns for this home. You must be willing to complete all training and qualifications needed for this role.
