BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a Children's Registered Home Manager based within the Towcester area of Northamptonshire working 40 hours per week on a permanent basis paying £33,000 - £40,000. This role is to work with 6 young people of either gender between the age range of aged up to 18yrs.

About the job; to ensure that the home meets the standards and expectations of its Statement of Purpose. To safeguard and promote the welfare of children and to ensure that the quality of care provided is consistent with Care Standards. To establish and maintain a competent, motivated and confident staff team and to offer leadership, managerial direction, guidance and support to staff at all levels. To ensure that the home's policies and procedures are adhered to and that resources are managed effectively. To develop systems for the efficient administration of the home and to ensure that the fabric of the home, equipment, appliances and grounds are maintained to the highest order in accordance with health and safety requirements. To be the responsible person in managing child protection concerns and complaints. To liaise with local authorities, school, health and other professionals to achieve best outcomes for young people. To actively promote the home's equal opportunity and anti-discriminatory practice policies.

You will manage a home registered by Ofsted to provide residential care for emergency, short, medium & long term care for up to 6 young people aged up to 18 years who have experienced serious behavioural, emotional and social difficulties and who require high levels of support in a smaller, more structured environment to ensure that their needs are properly met. The house is a large 9 bed property that offers 2 separate services. In the main house we offer 4 complex needs beds with young people of individual packages with high levels of staffing. Attached to the home is a separate 3 bedroom flat which offer emergency bed support on a contract basis to Northampton County Council. The home is able to cater for the needs of young people who present with a variety of differing needs which may include self harm, aggressive behaviour, high risk sexualised behaviours, attachment disorder, missing from home, drug and alcohol misuse.

About the ideal candidate; ideally, we are looking for candidates who hold the NVQ Level 4 in Caring for Children & Young People (actual or in progress) or equivalent, at least 2 years working with children within the past 5 years plus 1 year at Senior Level in residential care, a driving licence, a sound knowledge of care standards and knowledge of childcare legislation including child protection.

For this full time and permanent role, you will be offered a salary of £33,000 - £40,000 alongside a number of benefits.
