Job Description

B.S Social Care are currently recruiting for experienced Children's Residential Support Workers to work ad hoc shifts within Young people services based in East & North London. You will be required to work on a rota with various shift patterns including waking nights and Sleep ins. The shifts are solely based on the clients daily requirements so you need to be flexible and reliable.

The clients you will be supporting will be children in care with physical or learning disabilities, mental health problems, addiction issues or any other emotional or social needs. Most of the clients you will be supporting will be based in Residential homes.

You will be supporting the children on a daily basis. Most of the young people are independent but will need support when required which could be attending appointments, trying to help them back into the community, helping with school work, and assisting with any other outdoor activities. Also some of the children may become challenging so you need to be prepared to deal with challenging behaviour. You will need to be confident with report writing and carrying out handovers to other members of staff.

The ideal candidate for this type of role needs to be flexible, reliable and willing to travel for their work. They must have at least 2 years experience working with Children and have the necessary experience to deal with the child's needs as mentioned.

To register with BS Social Care you will need a minimum of 2 years experience working with children and be able to supply 5 years referencing. An enhanced DBS will need to be completed which is a cost of £50 or if you have one on the update service then this can be accepted.

- A competitive rate of pay, £9.00 on wards
- On going training and support
- Flexible hours to suit your lifestyle - day and night shifts available
