BS Social Care is currently working with a childrens organisation who are currently looking to recruit new Childrens Residential Support Workers into their services. This is a full time and permanent role. This opportunity will teach you the foundations of the company and grow with them as they embark on a journey to create the best possible care for looked after children. In the light of developments in Northampton, they are now seeking qualified and experienced Childrens Residential Support Workers to support their continued growth however they will consider candidates without the Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People but the willing to work towards.

About the job; you will be part of a team of supporting children to meet their needs and to help reach their full potential. You will be involved supporting senior staff with the delivery of care and support for those in our care help with the support a variety of leisure activities, including trips out into the community, planned as appropriate for the individual young person. You will be required to accompany young people with a staff group to holiday locations and short break accommodations provided by the company.

You must be capable of taking responsibility for the general well-being of the young person, including domestic and catering duties. The post will also involve working in the on-site facilities supporting the young person in preparing for and attending educational and daily living skills tasks.

The post will involve assisting in the monitoring, recording, reporting, and providing care to each individual young person and their welfare, writing up daily logs. You will also be required to attend training and a minimum of one staff meeting a month. Times and dates of these will be advised to you in advance.

The ideal candidate must have at least 1 years of emotional and behavioural difficulty experience working within a childrens residential home. You must also hold a valid UK driving licence. You must hold a L3 or L4 in Children and Young People.

For this permanent and full time role, this company is offering a salary of £ £20,800/£10ph starting and lifting to £24,960/£12ph after you complete the qualification. Working hours; 8am - 8pm, 40 hours per week working every other weekend. Part time contracts can be offered also; two 8am - 8pm shifts per week working a weekend day every other week.

As part of any contract, you will be asked to assist in night shifts should a member of staff go off sick or on annual and it cannot be covered between the night team.
