Residential Support Worker - Children and Young People
📍 Location: Steeton
⏰ Hours: 8am-10pm | 1 on, 2 off with 5 sleep-ins/month (£85 per sleep-in)
🏠 Setting: 3-bed residential children's home
💷 Salary: £12.75-£12.90/hour (rising to £13.25 post-probation)
💰 Annual Equivalent: £28,578-£29,225
Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable children and young people? We're looking for experienced, committed, and caring individuals to join our residential team in Steeton. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a newly renovated 3-bed home providing high-quality, person-centred care.
What We're Looking For:
Essential:
Experience in a residential children's home.
Full manual UK driving licence.
Desirable (for Waking Night roles):
QCF Level 3/4 in Residential Childcare or NVQ3 Children & Young People (or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities:
Promote the safety, wellbeing, and personal development of children and young people.
Support evening and nighttime routines based on care plans.
Complete safety checks and domestic duties during the shift.
Encourage positive behaviour and personal growth.
Build trusting, respectful relationships with children.
Attend meetings and contribute to individual care plans.
Take responsibility as a Key Worker where needed.
Respond to any safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately.
