Job Description

** Children and Young Peoples Residential Team Leader **
** Wellingborough, Northamptonshire **
** Permanent and full time **
** £22,000 - £24,000 **
** E; 7:30am - 1:45pm / L; 1:30pm - 9:15pm **
** Working 2 weekends out of 4 **
** 2 bedded children`s home working with children with learning disability, autism and challenging behaviour **

BS Social Care are looking for a Children and Young Peoples Residential Team Leader to work within a children and young persons residential home in the Wellingborough area of Northamptonshire for a full time and permanent role, supporting the Registered Manager/Owner. Working with children and young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour to empower their independence and life choices.

About the employer; this employer consists of two 2 bedded homes working with children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and challenging behaviour. They are a new company who have been well established for approx. 2 years. They hold high hopes and dreams. They work very closely with their staff providing training, qualifications, support, progression and more empowering their works every day.

About the job; this role will be held at the Wellingborough home, which is one of the two homes in the company. This role will support the current Registered Manager/Owner. You will be working with young people and children aged between 8-17 years. You will support, supervise and manage approx 10 - 12 members of staff. You will be supporting the team by directly working with the children and young people and supporting your team with any challenging behaviour that may arise and deal with each situation to cater for the individual needs of every young person. You will be assisting in the young people weekly meetings and chair staff meetings on a monthly basis. You will create rotas and assist with recruitment and training.

About the ideal candidate; you will an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People. However, if you have a qualification equivalent alongside degrees, diplomas ect we can consider your application depending on the modules you have covered overall. Working experience with children and young people is needed alongside current supervisory experience. You will also be a driver due to taking the children out within the community.

In return; we are offering a permanent and full time role working E 7:30am - 1:45pm and L 1:30pm - 9:15pm, working 2 weekends out of 4. (Waking nights are not part of your contract, however should cover be needed due to sicked and annual leave, you will be asked to assist with this).£22,000 - £24,000. Benefits will include; as much training as needed/desired from in house training, ongoing training, face to face training, one to one training, on the job training, external training and more including additional qualifications, career progression, appraisals, 28 days holiday including bank holidays but will be expected to work bank holidays on a rota basis and more.
