Job Description

** Children`s Support Worker **
** Northampton, Northamptonshire **
** Permanent and full time **
** £9.50 per hour / £30.00 per sleepover **
** E; 7am - 3pm / L; 3pm - 10pm spread across the week with alternating one weekend on and one weekend off **
** Please note 2 x sleep overs are required per week for this position **
** Children and young people`s residential home with EBD needs **

BS Social Care are currently recruiting for a number of Children`s Support Worker`s within the Northampton area. This is a full time and permanent role with a Level 3/4 in Residential Support, or a willing to complete this.


About the employer; they are a growing, private organisation specialised within the children and young people`s sector. They support all needs including EBD, Learning and Physical Disabilities, challenging and complex behaviours. They have homes covering Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire and are growing with more homes being opened.

About the roles; this role is for a children`s residential home, you will be a part of a newly opened service supporting with meeting the standards and expectations set by the Registered Manager. You will safeguard and promote the welfare of children and to ensure that the quality of care provided is consistent. You will be experienced in offering a nurturing and caring approach to young people who have experienced neglect and face complex behavioral needs. You will work as a team supporting with daily tasks including promoting education, health appointments and listening to their wishes and feelings. It is also important to work within the homes boundaries and suitable routines appropriate to their age.
About the ideal candidate; you will be an experienced Support Worker within the children`s sector. You will be experienced in emotional & behavioural difficulties (EBD). Alongside relevant experience, you will hold a Level 3/4 in Residential Support or equivalent such as a Children and Young People`s Residential qualification, or a willing to complete this and ideally have knowledge around policies and procedures within a similar setting. You will need to be a driver with your own vehicle.

In return, this organisation will offer you a permanent and full-time position of 40 hours on a shift pattern including nights. The shifts will include evenings, weekends, bank holidays and a minimum of one sleep in a week (this is paid as an extra onto of salary), paying £9.50 per hour / £30.00 per sleepover. They will support you not only with training but within your role to ensure you are confident that the needs are being met. Benefits will be discussed on interview.
