An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Claims Assessor based on the outskirts of York working for a fantastic company with great opportunities to progress within your career.
Your role will involve:
Assisting with admin duties.
Answering Claims Department telephone calls in line with the departmental SLA.
Assessing claims promptly and fairly.
Liaising with policyholders, veterinary practices and loss adjusters verbally and in writing in order to assess a claim.
Taking responsibility for processing each claim with efficiency, ensuring all facts are obtained before a decision is made.
Calculating settlement of claims.
Assessing future underwriting risks (exclusions).
Assisting with the development of policy wordings.
Addressing customer Urgents, Complaints and Appeals.
Meeting daily file and phone targets.
