Job Description

Position: Claims Customer Service/Administrator

Working hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 8pm with 1 in 3 Saturdays no Sundays or Bank Holidays

Salary: £16,010 pa

Location: Fulwood, Preston, Lancashire

Start Date: 29th April 2019

Job Purpose

To provide a fast and efficient claim handling service for various insurers. You will be providing support to policy holders to ensure that they receive quality customer care and support while dealing with claims and enquiries.

You will work for an insurance company who works with reputable clients such as Direct Line, British Gas plus more. Due to continued growth you will be joining the expanding department

Duties & Responsibilities

-You will be liaising with Policy Holders, Clients & Brokers via telephone, email and post to ensure complete customer satisfaction. You will do this by primarily taking inbound calls however you may be required to make some outbound calls and respond to emails as and when.

-Administer and validate new claims within a timely manner.

-Review data to set up new claims, appoint contractors and to update claims on internal systems.

-Review policy wordings to establish if a claim is covered.

-Manage and review diaries in a timely manner.

-Handle claims in line with client specifications and the appropriate service standards while providing a high level of customer care.

-Issue payments to policy holders and suppliers for settlements, within a delegated authority and refer to senior colleagues where this is exceeded.

-Actively promote the principles of treating customers fairly (TCF) and operate within Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines.

-All employees are expected to carry out any reasonable instruction given by their senior manager, in line with business requirements

Skills & Experience

-5 GCSE's grade A - C including Maths and English

-Willingness to work toward CILA Qualification

-IT Literature

-Excellent telephone manner

-Excellent written and verbal communication

-Customer service experience

-Ability to work to deadlines whilst prioritising work load

-Must be able to multi-task
