Job Description

DO YOU HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS A CLEANER?

ARE YOU LOCAL OR CLOSE TO BATTERSEA?

IF SO THIS ROLE COULD BE PERFECT FOR YOU!

Our client has an amazing full time and permanent opportunity for a cleaning role for an Estate in Battersea.


MAIN DUTIES
To maintain the thorough cleanliness of doors, staircases, landings, entrance halls, offices, community room, steps, railing, lamps, light fittings, interiors of lifts, pathways, parking bays and communal areas for which the residents are not responsible.
4th Floor to be swept everyday including stairs
Every 3 months the 4th floor and inside sub entries are water pressured cleaned and then mopped. To keep all communal areas free from litter, bulk refuse, broken glass and leaves etc.
To keep refuse chambers, chute hoppers, buns and bun areas clean and disinfected and to rotate bins when required.
To clean window ledges, sills and handrails respectively.
To assist in gritting access paths at sudden temperature changes.
To deliver letters as instructed by the office.
To work to the estate cleaning schedule
To sign the cleaning check list every day which will be displayed on all notice boards across the site.
To check the resident's comments section of the cleaning check list every day
To undertake such duties as are reasonably assigned to you from time to time by estate manager and housing support officer of the co-operative.

WEEKEND CLEANING SCHEDULE
The following relate to the cleaning duties which need to be undertaken at weekends:
3 X Main Entrance (A, B & C) stairs, lifts, glass and floors etc.
Check 4th floor for rubbish (litter picking) clean chute room, ensure they are not blocked.
Make sure all recycling and household waste bins are rotated in bin chambers.
Walkaround the grounds to make sure that the inner an outer green is clear of litter.

SERVICE DELIVERY
To take a pro-active role in health and safety issues on the estate.
To assist in ensuring the co-operatives aims in relation to customer awareness are achieved.
To promote a positive image through the development of good working relationships with tenants, lessees, committee members, contractors, Wandsworth Council staff and other agencies.
To ensure equal opportunities policies and procedures are complied with in relation to staff members, residents and the general public.
To undertake other reasonable duties are directed by the manager or management committee.

WORKING HOURS
Monday to Sunday (Excludes Saturday) 9am-5pm, 35 hour week pro-rata with one-hour unpaid lunchbreak.

HOLIDAYS
20 days commencing 1st April to 31st march of current year subject to approval plus bank holiday.
