You will be based in their very large, modern, busy distribution warehouse within their chilled food department which has over 180 employees!

About The Cleaner Vacancy
This is an amazing temporary to permanent job opportunity to join an existing team. You will start as a temporary worker through Brook Street and you will go permanent after twelve weeks, once you pass your probation. They want you to go permanent so you will receive excellent training to support you to achieve this milestone. Your duties will involve cleaning a busy, large new warehouse. These will involve removing pallets, emptying very large recycle and industrial sized bins. You will also clean the communal areas such as a large kitchen and corridors.

The Night Shift Hours
We have opportunities available to join the night shift team. You will work from 6 pm, arriving at 5.45 pm so you are ready to start. You will work a seven hour shift, usually finishing at 2 am or until job is done. This means you will work 35 to 40 hours per week on average. The rota is five days on and three days off.

Pay Rate
The pay rate is £9.50 per hour for the first 12 weeks via Book Street then £11.97 per hour from 13 weeks + when you go permanent for your first year. The following year this will increase again.
On top of the market leading pay rates you will also receive holiday, long service awards, career progression, maternity, paternity and adoption leave after two years of service.

About The Ideal Candidate
You will need experience working in a fast paced physical environment to be considered for this opportunity, ideally in a distribution warehouse however there is flexibility. You will need to be happy to provide reference details, pass a criminal check and be happy with ad hoc drug and alcohol testing. Due to the location being just outside of Chelmsford town centre, you will need your own car or motor bike; however some flexibility can be considered if you live in Chelmsford and have a push bike.
