Job Description

Are you an experienced Electrical Production Technician? Do you want to work for a company that is fast moving, with a great benefit package? Then this might be the job for you!


Due to an increased workload and the installation of their new cleanroom, my client is now looking for an Electrical Production Technician at their high-tech premises in St Albans. This role is fast paced and need someone to start ASAP due to the demands of the business. They are a fast-growing, customer-focused and progressive company bringing the latest in technology, engineering and manufacturing know-how to respond quickly and efficiently to their customers network and product development needs.


Your job will involve all aspects of shop floor production for the manufacture of cable assemblies for the Telecoms, Broadcast, Satellite, Transport and Aerospace Industries. You will require a good understanding of the manufacturing process and excellent ability in the preparation and termination of many different types of cables and connectors, using various methods of soldering and crimping of coaxial and multi-core cables. Ideally you will be familiar with working within a cleanroom environment. You need to be adaptable and flexible, and enjoy working as part of a friendly, growing team.


Salary: 19,500 - 21,000 depending on your experience, plus overtime

Hours: 08:00 - 16:00 with a half hour break for lunch, and two 15-minute coffee breaks


Benefits: 20 days holiday entitlement (plus bank holidays), increasing after 3 years' service / Christmas bonus / Employee assistance programme


You MUST have these specific skills to be eligible, and you will not be selected if your CV doesn't demonstrate you have the following:

  • Computer literate
  • Good understanding of bill of materials
  • ISO 9001 awareness
  • Understanding COSHH
  • Ability to read and understand drawings
  • Ability to read and understand test procedures
  • Electromechanical (general tooling) knowledge
