Job Description

Brook Street are looking for a Clerical/Admin Assistant to work at the EPSRC with the initial contract until January 2021.

TEMPORARY WORKER REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Suitable administrative experience, including:

- Experience of inbox and diary support

- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, including dealing with senior level colleagues

- Excellent planning, organisational and time management skills

- A sound knowledge of Microsoft software packages, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Attention to detail

- Ability to work as a flexible and proactive team member in order to deliver the team's activities

DESIRABLE SKILLS

- Experience within the public sector

- Knowledge or awareness of internal intranet and document management system (Microsoft SharePoint)

DUTIES

Support for the EPSRC Executive Chair Office and Executive Leadership Team, including:

- Inbox and diary support

- Travel and accommodation booking

- Travel and expense claim processing

- Meeting scheduling and support

- Arrangement and support for virtual meetings, such as video conferencing or teleconferencing

- Answering telephone calls and relaying messages

- Handling paperwork for senior colleagues (distributing, printing and electronic filing)
