Driving Vehicle Standards Assessors


We employ people across Great Britain as driving vehicle, traffic examiners and vehicle standards assessors, as well as in a variety of support roles

You are required to work as part of a team providing support for the traffic commissioners (TCs) to enable them to undertake their statutory duties in relation to the licensing and regulation of goods and public service vehicle operators.

This is an operational role where the post-holder will be responsible for processing new and variation applications for goods vehicle/public passenger vehicle operator licences and bus registrations on behalf of the traffic commissioners.

The post holder will be responsible for accurately recording data provided on application forms, managing a large number of tasks with competing deadlines and providing administrative support to a team leader, the licensing team and the traffic commissioners.

They will be required to ensure that operators and applicants have provided sufficient information to allow their applications to be processed and to provide help and advice where information/applications are incomplete. The post holder will also ensure that applications are processed within legislative requirements and in line with guidance set out by the traffic commissioners.
