Brook Street are currently recruiting an enthusiastic, dynamic and delivery focused Admin Officer who wants to make a real difference to passengers, other users of the railway, and, the industry. This position is working on a temporary basis with the Office of Rail and Road based in Bristol City Centre.
This Admin Officer role is in the ORR competition team. The team core objective is to protect and promote competition in railway markets. We monitor the state of competition across the sector and take targeted action using our enforcement and market powers where necessary.
The purpose of the Admin Officer is to provide support for a specific project. The Admin Officer will benefit from the support and guidance of an experience project manager, affording them a significant opportunity to build both competition policy, and project delivery skills. This Admin Officer role will involve:
Provision of administrative support for evidence gathering. This is likely to involve monitoring and engaging with stakeholders to ensure full responses to our information requests, arranging meetings with external stakeholders and drafting meeting notes.
Provision of administrative support for research and analytical work. This is likely to involve developing evidence matrixes and pulling together information on an issue or issues for others in the team to work with.
Set-up and maintenance of accurate electronic filing systems to ensure business sensitive information received from external stakeholders is gathered, logged and filed in a timely fashion.
This Admin Officer position is a full-time position working on a temporary contract that starts on the 13th January 2020 ongoing until 31st March 2020 which is subject to extension. This Admin Officer position has a starting pay rate of £ 8.36 rising to £ 10.84 after 12 weeks.
