Job Description

We are looking for an Apprenticeship Officer to cover a temporary long term role, working for CITB. The role would require someone who could drive as you will be visiting apprentices, you would be able to work from home. The purpose of the role would be visiting apprentices and training, coaching and supporting them. This would be 37 per week, Monday-Friday. It is a very busy role and pays £16.82ph . The client is looking for an immediate start

Main Activity
" Monitoring apprentice progression ensuring no barriers to disrupt successful and timely achievement - retainment
" Key link between College and employers
" Carry out progress reviews for construction apprentices using a digital form on an iPad discussing the following areas:
1. Attitude towards work and learning
2. Attendance/timekeeping
3. Development of practical skills and workplace activity
4. Development of job knowledge
5. Functional skills/Maths and English Development
6. Development of generic behaviours
7. Identifying additional support needs
8. Off the Job Training
9. Safeguarding and E&D
10. Health and safety monitoring
11. Target setting
12. Employer/mentor feedback
13. RAG rating

Ideal Candidate Specification
" Knowledge of the construction industry and or apprenticeships
" Full UK Driving License as this a mobile role
" Organisational and time management skills
" Self-managing as responsible for own workload and diary management
" Communication and interpersonal skills - understanding and motivational
" Coaching and mentoring
" Teaching and assessing
" Safeguarding, E&D and wellbeing
" H&S Awareness
" IT Skills and MS Office
