Job Description

Contract: until October 2021
Hours: 37hrs a week - 9-5
Salary: £10.90/hour
Start Date: Immediate
Location: WFH

Be available for calls assessing and managing phone calls, phone lines need to be covered from 09:00am to 04:30pm Monday to Friday and lunch breaks staggered between the team.
Record information received, updating FSS records when relevant.
To maintain FSS customer records on a daily basis, ensuring the register is accurate and as up to date as possible.
Assess the risks to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, ensuring that Defra's reputation is never compromised.
To provide timely and accurate information to telephone callers within 7 days (both those associated with the farming industry and areas within Defra).
To keep up with voicemail messages and ensure a response is received within 48 hours.
Cover colleague's work and help them out when they need assistance or if they are absent.
To collect and process survey data for the June Agricultural Survey forms, submitted in line with data handling procedures and to survey schedules
Update survey information onto FSS (Farm Survey System) and any associated Access databases ensuring accurate records and data are maintained.
Ensure 95% of forms scrutinised by survey closedown ensuring all comments are addressed, names and addresses corrected and comments relevant to the survey are actioned.
Respond to requests for survey information helping holders to complete the surveys by talking them through the sections explaining clearly what is required in a helpful, respectful and courteous manner within 2 working days of the customer making the request
Clear an average of 25 creds per day by using previous surveys forms, looking for obvious mistakes and telephoning the holder to clarify any discrepancy.
To complete the cred comments section with explanatory notes for all survey contacts when leaving messages on holder's answering machines.

Essential Criteria

The role is subject to DBS and reference clearance. You must have been a resident in the UK for three consecutive years, spending no longer than six months abroad during this period (unless an Overseas Police Check is obtained).
