Clerical/Admin Officer

Job Description

Brook Street are currently recruiting for an Administrator to work for a government client based in Bristol.
Main duties include:


-Work as part of a team providing support for the independently appointed Traffic Commissioner (TC) to enable him/her to undertake their statutory duties in relation to the licensing and regulation of goods and public service vehicle operators and vocational licence holders.
-In particular, the role involves the handling of the administrative arrangements for public inquiries, driver conduct hearings and impounding hearings
-Implementing the TCs decisions, directions, and instructions
-Completing all relevant papers to appellant bodies
-The drafting of submissions on regulatory casework
-The issue of warning letters; Section 9 or Section 43 statements and ensuring the correct implementation and processing of in-office revocation cases
- The post will also include the requirement to clerk Public Inquiry Hearings held by the Traffic Commissioner

Skills and experience required:
-Strong administrative skills and experience
-Good IT skills
-Excellent communication skills
-Able to manage own workload
-Work well within a team

This is a Full time position working Monday-Friday 0900-1700

Rate of pay is £9.06 per hour rising to £11.19 per hour after 12 weeks of work.
