Job Description

Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to join a public sector client on a temporary basis?


We are currently looking to recruit a number of people to join the Ministry of Defence as an Admin Officer in Andover, working with a fun and lively team, you`ll be based in Andover, Marlborough Lines and you will enjoy a great atmosphere. Working a Monday to Friday working week you will enjoy a healthy work life balance too.
The Temporary Worker will provide administrative support. He or she will follow set procedures and will exercise some independent judgment in carrying out instructions, under general supervision.

Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:

" Collating and analysing fairly complex information or data, submitting results in a written report
" Overseeing administrative procedures and processes
" Assisting with budget preparation and control, if required
" Acting as a administrative liaison with internal and / or external sources
" Preparing routine correspondence


Typical qualifications and experience:

" Five GCSEs at Grade C or above or equivalent (including English Language or equivalent)
" NVQ Business Administration Level 2 (or suitable clerical experience)
" Administrative experience with a good knowledge of and experience in using Microsoft Office
" Good communication skills, both oral and written.

" Manage the offices of Hd Finance; Hd Commercial ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
" Prioritise and communicate important issues.
" Maintain the electronic diaries, de-conflicting meetings and appointments, anticipate problems before they arise and develop solutions.
" Manage the office in the absence of Hd Finance/Hd Commercial ensuring correspondence is actioned within specified deadlines and is represented at meetings.
" Arrange visits, meetings, conferences including VTC.
" Arrange all travel and accommodation bookings.
" Act as the first POC for both Principals, greeting visitors to include senior officers, providing a professional and welcoming impression.
" Produce documents in accordance with JSP 101.
" Operate a Bring Forward system and ensure packs are produced ahead of meetings.
" Keep accurate records in accordance with Information Management working practices.

Knowledge:

" MS Office Suite
" Desirable knowledge of Office 365 and SharePoint
" Good written and verbal communication skills.
