Admin Officer
Brook Street Recruitment is currently recruiting for Admin Officers on behalf of our government client.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive HR team, providing essential administrative support across employee relations casework and redeployment processes.
Contract Details
- Location: Swindon
- Working Pattern: Predominantly remote working
- Contract Length: 3-6 months
- Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
About the Role
Working closely with Senior Employee Relations (ER) Casework Advisers, you will provide vital support across redeployment and formal casework processes. Acting as a key point of contact for employees and managers, you will work alongside Centres of Expertise to ensure smooth and efficient administration of a wide range of HR activities.
This is a busy and varied role that requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations Support
- Arrange formal casework hearings and investigation meetings.
- Take notes during formal hearings and meetings.
- Compile investigation packs in preparation for formal processes.
- Manage and maintain the casework tracker, providing management information as required.
- Ensure casework files are accurate, up to date, and compliant.
- Handle and manage confidential and sensitive data.
- Support the occupational health referral process, liaising with employees, line managers, and medical practitioners.
- Support HR initiatives and internal projects where required.
- Manage purchase orders
- Identify opportunities to improve HR-related processes and procedures.
Redeployment Support
- Conduct screening activities and onboarding for employees referred to redeployment.
- Review vacancies and identify suitable redeployment matches.
- Communicate with employees and hiring managers regarding potential redeployment opportunities.
- Arrange and coordinate interviews.
- Complete associated paperwork and issue trial confirmation letters for successful placements.
- Maintain and update redeployment records and spreadsheets.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on policies and processes relating to Ending Work Procedures.
Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in an administrative and customer-focused environment.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience working within a busy team environment and managing competing priorities.
- A proactive, positive, and customer-focused approach.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- The ability to work flexibly and support colleagues when required.
- A commitment to continuous improvement and process enhancement.
- The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion, professionalism, and diplomacy.
