Brook Street is working with our logistics client in Belfast to recruit a new member of staff for their client operations department.

The candidate for this role should come from a freight background and have working knowledge of sea and road freight.

Main purpose of job: Operational control of client shipments from booking, loading and despatch as per client customer profiles.

Key Tasks

* Updating carrier systems with verified gross mass (VGM) and liaising with carriers on delays and scheduling issues.
* Updating of client systems on a day-to-day basis.
* Booking and confirming schedules for client customer orders as per request.
* Ensuring all pre-despatch documentation and pre-loading inspections have been organised in advance of loading.
* Completion of day-to-day factory loading plan.
* Completion haulier instruction / documentation.
* Client liaison on a day-to-day basis

Criteria:

* Understanding export customs requirements for both Sea freight & Road freight shipment
* Strong computer literacy skills - proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
* Educated to GCSE Level - must include English and Maths

Salary will depend on background and experience - £25,000 to £35,000 DOE
