Job Description

** Clinical Administrator **
** Luton, Bedfordshire **
** The post-holder will be required to provide administrative support to the clinical team **
** Salary and shift patterns TBC **
** Working 37.5 hours per weeks **

BS Social Care are currently working in partnership with a care charity based in Luton, Bedfordshire to recruit a Clinical Administrator to working alongside the Admin Team Leader. This charity is a health and social care charity working with service users experiencing homelessness, substance misuse and more.

About the employer; this charity organisation has been established since the 70s. Since then they`ve grown to have more than 150 services across the UK. They enable people to make the positive changes necessary to lead independent and purposeful lives and create safer, healthier communities. This service is to help anyone who is vulnerable and needs assistance with any aspect of their life`s.

About the job; the post-holder will be required to provide administrative support to the clinical team, in particular ensuring that the prescription process is managed effectively for both service users and staff. You will provide practical assistance in the management of Nurse and Doctor clinics.

You may be required to work flexibly within an agreed number of hours to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision. You will be expected to take responsibility for personal development, identifying personal training needs and participate in regular supervision and appraisal.

Person specification;

Essential criteria...
Knowledge and experience of general office procedure and administrative duties
IT literacy including proficiency in data collection systems
Expertise in working with Word, Excel, and other IT packages
Experience of maintaining simple databases and other data management systems
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent organisational skills
Sound numerical skills

And the ability to...
Develop understanding of data base systems
Work accurately with excellent attention to detail
Respond flexibly to the demands of the post
Work as a member of a team
Show a capacity to work alone and the ability to keep calm under pressure
Understand and have a commitment to the principles of equal opportunity and diversity

Show commitment to facilitating positive outcomes for service users
Respond to appropriate requests for assistance whilst adhering to our confidential policy
Write reports and carry out basic analysis of information

Desirable criteria...
Qualification in IT/Microsoft Office applications especially Excel or Word
Experience of administration in a healthcare setting
Experience of working with confidential information
Experience of generating prescriptions from a database facility
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
