Job Description
Are you bored of the NHS? Looking for a change from hospice care?
Maybe you`re looking for a more relaxed role where you`ll have the time to build great relationships in an environment that puts the service users first, not the statistics. If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for you as a Clinical Lead to join a warm and welcoming Residential Home, with a long history of offering people-centric support to the elderly for the past 30 years.
In this magnificent 43 bed property nestled in the Hampshire countryside you`ll have the opportunity to really get to know the residents and their stories. The home is completley independent, because of this there is a strong 'family' feel amongst everyone, there are staff that have been with the home for over 30years! My client has a strong focus on maintaining independence and dignity, whether that is a trip to the local shops for a paper or ensuring they`re surrounded by their loved ones at the times they need it most. It goes without saying that you`ll be a dedicated care professional, focused on the well-being of the residents, and eager to be hands-on with the residents every day. The current Clinical Lead will be retiring soon after 20 years of service with the home! So we`re looking for someone who can emulate the relationship with our residents and commitment that she has brought to the role. You`ll be working alongside the Registered Manager, together you`ll collaborate to elevate the current CQC rating from `Good` to `Outstanding`, the RM is well versed in the business side of running the home but needs a strong Clinical Lead to provide the knowledge and insight into how best to look after its residents.
As a clinical lead/matron you`ll obviously have a wealth of experience with dealing with services users every day and although you`ll be looking after a team of people, you`ll be excited at the prospect of dealing with service users. You`ll also liaise with hospitals and hospices when needed, to assess a potential resident`s health. A large component of your role will be to build relationships with the families of the residents, at times of emotional stress it`s important that you are able to reassure families that their loved ones are receiving the best care they can.
As the ideal candidate you will:
- Be excited at the prospect of dealing with the residents` everyday
- Be committed to the team and the highest levels of care quality
- Lead a large and diverse team
- Have excellent communication and organisational skills
- Be able to react well under pressure
As the perfect candidate you will have:
- An active NMC pin
- Passion for care Salary, hours and benefits:
- £33-£38K dependent on experience
- 37.5 hours a week
- 33 days holiday
- Pension
