Job Description

Hours: 37 per week
Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm.
Pay: £8.72 per hour National Minimum Wage
Location: Scarborough Town Centre

We are currently looking for a full time Cluster Marshal to join a busy team within Scarborough Court. The role is a long-term temporary position working 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday, between 9.00am-5.00pm.

What is expected of you:

" Keep yourself, Visitors and Staff safe by abiding by all Covid 19 measures in place throughout the building.
" Support visitors in navigating in and out of the courthouse/hearing centres.
" Guide visitors through new one-way systems safely and efficiently.
" Encourage visitors to adhere to social distancing guidance as necessary, for example, sitting on designated seats only, following any 'one in, one out' instructions on Lifts and Toilets and keeping a 2-metre distance at all times.
" Provide clear and concise verbal instructions to people moving through the courthouse/hearing centres.
" Reassure visitors and answer any queries, or signpost them to the necessary area or member of court staff as required.
" Support and supervise those visitors in the waiting areas to ensure everybody understands the measures in place and can safely follow them at all times.
" Alert Security to any concerns or Health & Safety hazards within the Public and Communal areas
" Alert Security to tackle any individual failing to comply with any of the Covid 19 measures in place within the Building
" Assist with maintaining current measures in place by alerting the Building Manager or Building Champion to any signage issues, any cleaning and sanitising stocks that need replenishing such as Hand Sanitiser, Hand Towels and Toilet Rolls or any seating concerns for example
" Work in a flexible way and undertake any other duties reasonably requested by line management which are commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post.

Experience / skills required:

" Clear and assertive verbal communication skills with visitors to the court
" Ability to communication clearly in writing as and when necessary
" Flexibility and resilience to changes in court schedules.
" Excellent team working skills.
" Ability to use initiative in situations.
" Knowledge and Understanding of current Public Health Guidance on Social Distancing Measures

Essential Criteria
The role is subject to DBS and reference clearance. You must have been a resident in the UK for three consecutive years, spending no longer than six months abroad during this period (unless an Overseas Police Check is obtained).
