My client works within the packaging manufacturing industry and export their products worldwide. The company has a long history of leading the industry with innovative packaging technology. They are recruiting an experienced machinist to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. They are offering a competitive salary of £30,000-£35,000 plus benefits. You will be responsible for the machining and inspection of engineering components to the correct standards and specifications, a lead hand with significant experience in manufacturing.

Your key responsibilities will be;
o Receiving and interpreting engineering drawings and sketches to manufacture engineering components.
o Writing CNC machining programs, ideally turning, milling with grinding experience desirable.
o Manufacture and inspection of high-end engineering components.
o Training apprentices and less skilled member of staff
o Development use of machine tools and new machining techniques- this stems from large investment within the company and our manufacturing facility. With more new equipment planned for 2019 and further investment, we are looking to drive our continuous improvement program forward.

You will be an excellent communicator at all levels and be adaptable. You will work systematically and with a high level of detail. You have the ability to plan and organise your own workload. You are results focussed and have good problem-solving skills.
