Job Description

My Client is looking for an experienced CNC Setter Technician. If you are looking for an exciting opportunity working within a CNC environment I`d like to invite you to keep reading.


My client are a key part of products you and thousands of others interact with every day. Our engineered access hardware solutions include key "touch points" such as locks, latches, captive fasteners, hinges, handles and other innovative products.

They are looking to speak with experienced CNC Setter Technicians. You will be working within a secure, safe and supportive environment who are very staff focused with a brilliant working environment.

You will be tasked with the following.

" Performs the safe setting & upsetting of all relevant Turning plant, to a standard to support high volume on time production on a hourly basis, using all current procedural documentation, monitoring and updating setting sheets to comply with current status.
" Responsible for the monitoring of the maintenance required on all cold forming & auxiliary equipment delegated to your ownership, using fluid maintenance standard ops, service sheets, m/c maintenance boards, and up dating m/c history sheets.
" Responsible for the maintenance, refurbishment & storage of all tooling related to cold forming processes, reporting on stock levels of consumables to the team leader. Organizes sample pieces for setting, training, & customer traceability, using current procedures.
" To monitor and be responsible for the quality of work your delegated work centres are producing, using all drawings, gauging, standard ops, control plans, and relevant procedural documentation.
" Organizes & monitors all machinery & equipment so that it is maintained & cleaned to a high standard, reporting any electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic faults to team leader, or maintenance data base.

" Effectively plans work on all cold forming processes using m/c dispatch reports, ensuring all work is produced on time, to best part quality.
" To be capable of setting / operating, & maintaining all cold forming process machinery, whilst displaying strong focus on continous improvement.

" Act with the best interest of the customer in mind, committed to achieving best quality parts, on time incurring lowest manufacturing costs.
" Displays enthusiasm to learn new skills & processes, and to understand the latest technical advancements, so as to maximise there full potential.


The Role:
Interpreting information on job routings, work instructions and technical drawings to operate safely both CNC and mechanically controlled production machinery. Including fixed and sliding head CNC lathes. Ensuring machines are productive by supporting insert changes, cleaning of finished components, bar stock replenishment and hourly quality inspection using controls plans, visual standards and a variety of measurement equipment such as Vernier callipers, Micrometers and special purpose gauging. Must be able to flex across shifts when required.
Requirements:
Basic to moderate engineering skills, Machine operator experience, 1-2 years in a production environment would be advantageous but not essential. Good written and verbal communication skills.

- You will be working from 2PM - 10PM Mon - Fri (30mins for lunch)
