The Commercial Contract Manager will be responsible for facilitating contract management in the respective Category area and supporting the Operational Contract manager in the delivery of Contract Management plans, principles and processes. This is initially a fixed term contract for 18 months, which could become permanent.
You should be competent in both Supplier and Contract Management with some formal training, will be accompanied by strong Category experience in one of the category areas (Digital and Technology, Science/Facilities Management or Corporate) along with the key soft skills, in particular relationship management, negotiation and stakeholder management.
You will be responsible for:
- Implementing supplier relationship and contract management improvements in a public sector setting
- Successful negotiations and contract management resulting in sustainable improvements and resolving issues or disputes.
- Building effective relationships across teams and within a stakeholder community.
- Developing skills and competencies across an organisation or part of one in supplier relationship and contract management
You will be expected to demonstrate leadership in key supplier relationships and drive robust supplier management whilst supporting operational contract managers and senior business owners in ongoing contract management activities.
The hours are 37.5 hours per week. It's a remote job role but you will be expected to go into the office in London from time to time, especially at the start of the job until you feel comfortable with everything. The salary is 51-55k negotiable depending on experience.
