Reporting to: Managing Director
Our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager from a construction background.
Commercial and contractual accountability for all aspects of the project both pre and post order, including
ensuring that tenders, quotations, evaluations and other offers are correctly and profitably priced prior to being submitted.
To hold the financial reigns of projects, valuations and variations ensuring that the companies cash flow
position is positive and that all payments both in and out are correct and on time and inline with pre-order
To be part of the senior management team and as such contribute to the wider business success by
participating in a various non-specific meeting, tasks and initiatives that whilst not directly relating to your area
of responsibility are deemed beneficial to the business.
Key Tasks include:
Work with Sales and Operations teams, assisting in the co-ordination of quotations and proposal
development, including pre-tender site surveys and variations
Creation of project work schedules, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
Review contractual documentation; assist Project Managers with commercial and contractual matters.
Manage the cash flow on the project; prepare financial information for Directors and Project Managers and manage financial variations.
In conjunction with the relevant Contract / Project Manager ensure the financially profitable.
Ensure all contract control activities are carried out and updated/amended as necessary.
Attend meetings on contractual and financial matters relating to projects
Accurately record and process related documents and records
Build and maintain customer confidence
Be familiar with all relevant standards and codes of practice
Any other tasks as reasonably requested by the relevant Line Manager
