Job Description

My Client distributes Ralph Lauren jewellery, Anne Klein watches & jewellery, and Juicy Couture watches in the UK and Europe to the following retailers:
- Amazon
- Debenhams
- Ernest Jones
- FHinds
- Argos
- Fenwicks
- Daniels
- TK Maxx
- Watchshop
- Zalando
- El Corte Ingles
- Fahsionette


THE POSITION ?
The Commercial Manager will handle overall responsibility for promotional and marketing plans in order to deliver sales, and will represent the brands throughout Europe.
Key Responsibilities
" Prepare presentations and analysis for buyers, promotional plans and manage the ranges and orders with retailers and suppliers
" Using industry contacts to secure new potential accounts
" Strive to improve the brand positioning and elevate the brand
" Oversee P&L and ensure profitability is maintained
" Grow new territories throughout Europe, immediate focus on Spain,Portugal, Germany.
" Manage the relationship with the Buying & Merch Teams as well as main contact for the suppliers
" Oversee the Visual Merchandising (stores and online) function; management of assets of products and ensure good online presence and image
" Ensure we have accurate records for compliance: REACH, Nickel, RoHS and all new legislation's
" Mange the Intern who is there to support your role, and in addition Sales and Marketing activities


Stock Management
" Forecast stock requirements based on sales demand & customer purchasing habits.
" Work closely with customer merchandising teams on seasonal forecasts in order to accurately plan for supplier orders.
" Ensure stock is allocated correctly in order to maximise profitability with key retailers
" PO Maintenance & Warehouse Planning
" Purchase order placements from start to finish.
" Check and manage B2B systems to manage orders
" Work alongside outsourced warehouse to monitor deliveries from suppliers of stock due to warehouse.
" Manage weekly planning and packing schedules for the warehouse based on current stock availability, incoming stock, and upcoming customer orders.
" New line set up forms for retailers, image management for online sales
" Keep records of packaging for orders - to ensure we have enough watch boxes, jewellery pouches for future orders
" Keep accurate records of ranges for each retailer, and retailer marketing


Sales Analysis
" Prepare seasonal, and ad hoc sales analysis detailing performance of current season`s lines.
" Create sales reports for suppliers outlining company and customer performance, comparison to previous season`s sales, and trade opportunities.
" Work with suppliers to produce product range plans and prepare customer presentations
" Monthly sales and stock reports for the two suppliers
" Annual Sales overview for two suppliers, and support the Director with the annual Strategy presentation


Showroom and other tasks
" Ad hoc support with Visual Merchandising visits
" Keep records of the compliance certificates for all current styles
" Set up of showroom for market weeks and sample management
" Support the Intern and oversee the creation of a training pack for retailers twice per year for key retailers, with VM guidelines
" Assist Director and Intern with Buyer meetings range selections, and follow up from meetings
" Keep accurate records of stock of point of sale for all brands
" Keep an up to date store list for each retailer account
" Keep an up to date contact list for all accounts and suppliers
" Assist Director with making appointments, and keeping records from meetings

Role Requirements:

  • Experience in Watch & Jewellery Industry
  • Experience with managing a Team and also with the Retail staff, in-store and Area Manager level
  • Preferably existing relationships with the best class retailers located in Spain, Portugal, Germany, UK&EIRE
  • Strong problem solving and creative thinking skills
  • Incredible attention to detail
  • Experience travelling and conducting business in Europe
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to follow through effectively
  • Highly numerical with an analytical approach
  • Organized with ability to prioritise workload
  • Proactive attitude towards problem solving
  • Takes ownership of driving own development
  • Strong computer skills, most importantly MS Excel, Powerpoint
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
