Commercial Manager
Salary £35,000 to £40,000 Plus Car

My Client a well-known Transport business in the Hull area are looking for an experienced commercial manager preferably from the Transport, logistics or freight industry to run the commercial department and drive the business forward.

My client is based near Hull City centre within a modern office, on-site parking, they operate a friendly focused atmosphere with all staff pulling in the same direction.

Job Description

Working closely with the UK Managing director you will handle all commercial responsibilities, you and your team will be the face of the business dealing with all new prospects from new clients to dormant accounts, you will provide all quotations, chase client feedback and build up relationships.

You will also work with the operations team passing on orders and requirements to ensure a smooth process from sale to completion.

A big part of this role is account management and maintaining client relationship, this will require visits face to face meaning you will need to control your own diary and make sure all clients are seen equally.

As always with a position like this the overall aim is to ensure sales targets and KPI's are achieved.

Responsibilities:
" Client discussion / fact finding
" Prioritisation of enquiry workload / urgent enquiries
" Pricing requests to suppliers
" Collation and filing of documentation relating to quotation
" Quote generation using in house CMS
" Regular requests for quotation feedback
" Identification of "hot leads"
" Prospecting new contacts
" Key account management
" Visits to new, dormant and active contacts across the UK
" Identification and development of relationships with new suppliers
" Reporting of KPI's
" Implementing commercial strategies to assist in achieving targets and KPI's
" Instruction and development of the commercial co-ordinators

Required Skills & Qualifications:

" Highly Focused and Highly Organised
" Ability to take direction as well as manage own time dependant on workload
" Strong understanding of Excel, Word, Outlook, Google Maps
" Good telephone manner, Customer service skills
" Presentable appearance
" Sales Experience
" Worked in a similar role
