Job Description

An exciting and worthwhile opportunity has arisen for a competent Communications Manager who has the creative flair and talent to manage the communication activities within this multi-agency project; the aim of which is to reduce health inequalities in and around the City of Bradford.

The Reducing Inequalities in City (RIC) programme has been established to focus on reducing health inequalities in a defined area around Bradford city centre. A steering group co-ordinates the development of RIC proposals and oversees the implementation and monitoring of associated projects. It is a multi-agency group consisting of representation from across the health and care system, including CCG, public health, voluntary sector, health care providers and local authority colleagues.

Reporting to the Senior Head of Communications your role will involve:

# All aspects of communications including brand establishment
# Marketing, editorial, design and print
# Traditional and social media (including media relations)
# Web, and events, for internal and external audiences
# Working in a variety of formats and languages.
# Development, implementation and evaluation of the communications plan to help draw - and sustain attention for The Project`s plans and priorities for key audiences.

You will need to write fluently and communicate at all levels of an organisation.
You will be familiar with managing communication`s activities within a programme of work and have an established track record of delivering high quality work to deadlines.

Initially working from home but eventually to join the office in the centre of Bradford the assignment is expected to last 12 months with a review after 6 months.
