Job Description

Brook Street are recruiting for Communications Officer to work for a well established public sector organisation. We are looking for an experienced communications professional to support the design and delivery of communications activity and campaigns at a time of increased pressure.

If successful, duties include:
-Vital communications during the Covid-19 response, using insight and evaluation to adapt communications to meet audiences needs.
-As part of a small team, you will be at the heart of developing and delivering communications activities that will engage and inform staff at all levels.
-Be comfortable advising and working with colleagues across the organisation and wider group.
-Work closely with staff at all levels to shape and deliver a range of activity and campaigns, ensuring messages are aligned, relevant and effectively targeted.
-Managing the delivery of key communication and engagement activity, creating targeted content for use across internal channels, including digital.
-Designing and delivering internal communications plans and products to support the organisations key activities and ongoing transformation programme, including the emerging challenges arising from Covid-19.
-Capturing and using insight to improve the effectiveness and targeting of internal communication and engagement activity.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
-Experience of using insight to inform communications activity.
-Experience with digital channels, both content development and implementation.
-The personal resilience to work under sustained pressure and scrutiny, with the ability to take action forward within a changing and ambiguous environment.

This is a full time, temporary position, initially until the end of January with opportunity to be extended beyond that point. Working ideal office hours, Monday to Friday.
