Job Description

We are thrilled to offer three, varied and responsible positions within our public sector clients' close knit Communications department. If you are searching for a flexible opportunity to expand upon your existing comms knowledge, read on for more information!

Contract: Temporary
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, core business hours are 10am - 3pm Monday - Friday, remaining hours are flexible
Pay Rate: £14.32p/h
Start date: ASAP with expected duration until end March 2019 (possible extensions thereafter)

Due to an increase in workload, our clients are searching for three IT-savvy Communications Specialists to undertake responsibilities in Internal, External and Digital Communications respectively.
Diverse responsibilities for these roles will include, but not be limited to:
- Digital Communications Officer: Managing social media channels including Twitter and Facebook, composing blog posts for the company website, occasional graphic design; assisting with graphic creation, marketing collateral and website layout
- Internal Communications Officer: Composing correspondence for widespread internal personnel, dealing with sensitive issues relating to business change, clearing communications through the relevant business channels,
- External Communications Officer: Composing a variety of communications for the attention of external personnel, writing press releases, copywriting, assisting with the creation of blog posts for the company website, handling media queries and liaising with the media

Ideally, we are looking for individuals with strong working knowledge of the communications function, a high level of proficiency with IT systems, social media platforms, and Adobe Photoshop (though is this specific to the Digital Comms role).
Our clients work on the basis that, given the appropriate training, you will quite quickly become autonomous in your job role. Operating at a high level, you will interpret and report on complex data, excelling in problem solving and query resolution.

As our clients are a public sector organisation, experience with a similar body/local authority would be advantageous, though not essential for your success in this position.

In addition, our clients are experiencing a time of business change, and so the ability to deal with complex, sensitive information which will have an impact upon internal and external stakeholders is paramount.

If you would like to be considered for one of the above opportunities, please do not hesitate to submit your CV online. We look forward to hearing from you!
